Sandra "Sandi" (Downs) Bittinger Wingrove

Sandra L. “Sandi” Bittinger Wingrove, 75 of Connellsville, passed away at home on Friday, December 22, 2023.  She was born Wednesday, July 14, 1948, in Uniontown, daughter of the late George Downs and Betty (Roderick) Downs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin “Chip” Bittinger and her brother, George Downs.  Sandi had retired from West Virginia University after 20 years of service. She was a faithful member of Triumphant Fellowship Church of McClellandtown and truly loved going to church there. She also loved going to auctions and flea markets.  Sandi was known to help anyone that needed help and was the sweetest, kindest soul that had ever walked the earth, she was loved by so many and is already dearly missed.  Sandi is survived by her husband, John “Hop” Wingrove, two sons, Eric Bittinger and wife Rochele and Chris Bittinger and wife Diana, six grandchildren, Amanda Nosky and husband Joe, Eric Bittinger II and wife Katy, Brandon Bittinger and fiancee Briena Sadler, Jessica Smith and husband John, Brianna Peterson and husband Dylan and Christopher Bittinger, seven great-grandchildren, Hunter, Mason, Gabrielle, Carson, Haven, Livia and Maya, three sisters, Karen Perri and husband Michael, Debbie Maust and husband Tracy, Susan Sutton and husband Benny, one brother, Mark Downs and wife Brenda and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the Louis E. Rudolph Funeral Home, Thomas B. Rudolph, Supervisor & Funeral Director, 15 N. Main St. Point Marion, PA on Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday Dec. 28 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, Dec. 29, in the Triumphant Fellowship Church from 10 to 11 a.m. the hour of service with Pastor Tom Barnhart officiating.  Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery of Uniontown.
