Denver Cobb Obituary

Denver M. Cobb Sr. 94 of Lake Lynn passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 at home.  He was born September 22, 1922 in Centralia, West Virginia, son of Andrew and Trecia (Cogar) Cobb. Denver was a Veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army.  He retired after working for 18 years as a custodian for the Albert Gallatin School District.  He was a member of AFL-CIO Union #585 and also a member of the Lake Lynn Chapel of Lake Lynn.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Mae Katherine (Smith) Cobb on October 19, 2009, one daughter, Charlotte Lemley, two sons, Marvin Cobb and David Cobb, one granddaughter, one grandson, one sister Dorothy Daber, two half-sisters, Ada Newman, Virgie Carpenter and three brothers, Andrew Cobb Jr., Dale Cobb, and Eugene Cobb.  He is survived by his children, Velma Skirble and husband Charles of Chippewa, Pa., Mary Conrad and husband Michael of Portersville, Pa., Melvin Cobb of Point Marion, Lena Egnor of St. Albins, West Virginia, John Cobb of Lake Lynn, Marion Cobb and husband Michael Cleaver of Lake Lynn, Jerry Cobb and wife Joyce of Beaver Falls, Pa., many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, two brothers, Edward Cobb of Fairmont, WV, and Donald Cobb of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the Louis E. Rudolph Funeral Home, Thomas B. Rudolph, Funeral Director & Supervisor, 15 N. Main St. Point Marion on Wednesday, June 26 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, on Thursday, June 27 friends will be received in the Lake Lynn Chapel from 10am until 11 am when services will be held with Rev. Reva Thurmond officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.  Military Honors will be accorded graveside by VFW Post 747 and American Legion Post 499 of Point Marion.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made to Lake Lynn chapel % Doris Victor, 17 T and D Village, Morgantown, WV 26508.
